Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.This is a position with global grade17Your role and responsibilitiesPerform annual preventative maintenance and on call emergency repairs of ABB robotic system equipment in the field.Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing service work as per customer order and expectations and make recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.Prepare and review material lists needed for service activity and ensure all material, parts and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.Provide system integration support of ABB robots to designated build shops as well as the end users.Perform robot program changes such as logic, software and path alterations through either offline or online methodology.Have mechanical aptitude for performing any mechanical component repair or replacement.Provide robot specific or systems training in an informal environment to customers as required.Knowledge of PLCs and other robotic peripheral equipment.Execute work on a first time right approach with customers and ensures the job is done on time and as per quality standards.Capable of traveling on short notice and handle rigors of air travel.Submit sales leads for additional robotic and system opportunities.Communicate work location and status daily.Ensure customer retention by delivering superior customer experience.Prepare all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative.Qualifications for the role• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 1 year of maintenance, technical support, mechanical, electrical, robotic, controls or engineering experience OR Associate degree in a technical field with minimum 3 years of maintenance, technical support, mechanical, electrical, robotic, controls, or engineering experience OR High School Diploma or GED with minimum 5 years of maintenance, technical support, mechanical, electrical, robotic, controls or engineering experience• Minimum of 1 year electronic and mechanical skills preferred• Alternatively, possess a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments• Good electronic and mechanical experience• Mechanical aptitude for performing any mechanical component repair or replacement• Knowledge of PLC communications and other robotic peripheral equipment preferred• Formal training or equivalent experience preferred with the ability to read and understand electrical drawings• Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Windows)• ABB Robotics experience is preferred (not required)• Strong desire to travel• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to communicate with customers (external and internal) in high pressure situations and maintain strong customer relationships• Excellent organization skills, detail oriented• Customer service background highly desirable• Ability to work with little or no supervision• Analyze issues and use of sound judgment• Manage execution• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefits• Retirement plan• Life insurance• Disability insurance• Wellbeing program• Healthcare planMore about usABB Robotics & Discrete Automation is a pioneer in robotics, machine automation and digital services, providing innovative solutions for a diverse range of industries, from automotive to electronics to logistics.
