Job Description
Essential Functions:
Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in patient care:
• Acquires all-encompassing and essential facts about the individual’s health status or situation.
• Analyzing the assessment data is necessary to establish the diagnosis or issues at hand.
• The tailored healthcare plan is anticipated to lead to a better understanding of the patients specific medical needs and preferences.
• Constructs a detailed roadmap that charts the course towards meeting predetermined goals.
• Executes the identified plan to ensure patients are making the intended progress.
• Coordinating care delivery involves tailoring services to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Health teaching aims to impart knowledge to individuals, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and safety.
• The advanced practice registered nurse and the nursing role specialist leverage their expertise and skills to provide consultation services that help shape the identified plan, enhance the abilities of others, and drive positive change.
• Assessing the advancement made towards achieving outcomes.

Additional Requirements
Required:
Education – Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
Certifications – Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities
Preferred:
Experience – 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
Education – Bachelors degree in Nursing
Physical Requirments:
The physical requirements of this job are exceedingly high. Workers must be able to use significant physical effort, with constant exertion of over 25 pounds of force (67-100% of the time) and frequent exertion of over 50 pounds of force (34-66% of the time) to move objects. In addition, employees may be subjected to hazardous materials such as radiation exposure and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious bodily substances. The job also mandates the ability to work designated shifts, including 8- and 12-hour shifts, and night shifts or irregular hours as needed.
