Job Summary
As a healthcare professional, the Registered Nurse is responsible for facilitating compassionate and personalized care to patients by applying the principles of nursing science. Job Description
Essential Functions:
Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to perform the following functions:
• Compiles detailed information relevant to the health situation of the healthcare user.
• Analyzing the assessment data to ascertain the diagnosis or issues involved.
• Predicts potential outcomes for an individualized health plan based on the unique needs of the patient.
• Drafts a proposal that details specific methods and backups for obtaining anticipated outcomes.
• Implements the approved scheme and tracks the patient’s development.
• The coordination of care aims to streamline healthcare delivery processes to enhance patient outcomes.
• Health teaching and promotion are practices that aim to promote healthy behaviors and a safe environment using a variety of strategies.
• Utilizing their knowledge, advanced practice registered nurses and nursing role specialists consult with their clients in order to create a plan of action that meets specific needs.
• Measures headway in reaching intended outcomes.

• Applying a systematic approach to nursing practice to improve its quality and effectiveness

Proficiently uses applicable technology and software to:
• Support patient care by documenting nursing tasks and services offered.

• Consistently striving for avenues to advance the quality of patient care through novel and inventive troubleshooting.

Additional Requirements
Required:
Education – Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
Certifications – Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
Preferred:
Experience – 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
Education – Bachelors degree in Nursing
Physical Requirements:
The ability to work designated shift lengths, which could include 8 or 12-hour shifts, including night shifts or occasional irregular hours, is also required for this job.
