Job Description
Essential Functions:
Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to perform the following functions:
• Obtains detailed and pertinent information regarding the consumer’s health and well-being.
• Delving into the evaluation information is necessary to determine the diagnosis or topics of focus.
• A patient-centric healthcare plan can lead to a decrease in healthcare costs, particularly in cases where the patient has previously been subject to hospital readmissions.
• Designs a comprehensive plan that considers various factors and variables that may affect the attainment of expected outcomes.
• Takes action in accordance with the plan formulated and oversees patient advancement to ensure successful outcomes.
• Coordinating care involves collaboration among healthcare providers and other stakeholders.
• Health promotion and education programs utilize innovative techniques designed to prevent disease and promote healthy behaviors.
• By providing consultation, the advanced practice registered nurse and the nursing role specialist can influence the identified plan, improve the capabilities of others, and facilitate advantageous transformations.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the methods employed in achieving outcomes.

• Improving the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice involves a structured methodology
• Being well-versed and competent in contemporary nursing practices is an essential attribute for nurses

Proficiently uses applicable technology and software to:
• Assist and document the nursing task and patient healthcare.
• Utilize various work-related software applications required to actively participate as an integral member of the company. These include accessing company email, completing iLearn modules, participating in employee engagement surveys, and reviewing critical information about benefits, compensation, policies, and procedures.

Additional Requirements
Required:
Education – Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
Certifications – Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
Preferred:
Experience – 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
Education – Bachelors degree in Nursing
Physical Requirments:
This job requires individuals to possess great physical strength, demanding constant exertion of over 25 pounds of force (67-100% of the time), frequent exertion of more than 50 pounds of force (34-66% of the time), and the ability to move objects that weigh over 100 pounds on occasion. The position may also require exposure to radiation and frequent contact with contaminated needles and other infectious bodily substances. Scheduling flexibility is also necessary, potentially including the ability to work night shifts or irregular hours.
