We are looking for a Retail Learning and Development Manager to join our team to build best-in-class development experiences for retail leaders and associates, as well as sales leaders and individual contributors. In this role, you will work with the Learning and Development team to manage the creation and development of engaging training materials that drive revenue and help our stores succeed. You will use your passion and creativity to design experiences that optimize our employees’ skills and capabilities in revenue-focused roles. Successful candidates possess an acute attention to detail and superior project management skills.
Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of innovative learning and development solutions that support YETI’s performance and growth, with a targeted focus on revenue-driving roles in retail stores
• Manage learning and development projects from inception and design phase to full program roll out
• Experiment with innovative approaches to learning that drive engagement and operational efficiency on the backend
• Deliver learning solutions that are highly engaging and improve leadership and store effectiveness
• Assist with the implementation and management of our Workday Learning Management System (LMS)
• Develop and maintain job-aids, quick-reference guides, and other materials that meet learners where they are
• Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to improve onboarding, leader development, and product training for retail and sales employees
• Support and execute learning strategies focused on sales enablement, customer-facing interactions, and leadership development by collaborating with L&D leaders, Retail leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Manage multiple portfolios of learning and development curriculum, including the development of new solutions and ongoing maintenance of existing assets and programs
• Facilitate training content to all levels of employees via instructor-led training, team effectiveness activities, collaboration sessions, on-demand learning, and other relevant training modalities
• Align project teams and stakeholders to implement highly effective and innovative learning solutions, including digital content, microlearning’s, individualized learning paths, and ongoing development in the flow of work
• Build, manage, and sustain positive, collaborative partnerships among key business stakeholders and peers
• Provide functional expertise to identify, research, and resolve complex problems that can scale to meet growing business needs
Qualifications And Attributes
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in content development, instructor-led facilitation, and adult learning theories focused on retail and sales environments
• At least 6 years of experience developing content, facilitating training, and implementing leadership programs for retail and sales employees at all levels within an organization
• Instructional design background is a plus
• Experience in Workday Learning Management System is a plus
• Demonstrated end-to-end project and program management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close
• Proven ability to develop strong stakeholder partnerships; build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders; implement project management best practices while working on simultaneous learning initiatives
• Proven history of creating nuanced, high-quality, and innovative training materials and learning solutions using proven instructional/content design methodology and current industry trends
• Experience building learning programs that require complex interactions using industry-standard tools such as Articulate 360 suite, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Captivate, Sparc, Filmora, Synthesia, etc.
• Self-starter and continuous learner who can use innovative technologies with minimal guidance as the tech-stack shifts to meet evolving needs.
• Partner across all lines of the business to create engaging content, e-Learning courses, and engaging multimedia deliverables that support continuous and blended learning
• Champion learning innovation by researching, consulting on, and leveraging new training techniques and opportunities to integrate technology components
• Remain current with e-Learning and instructional design best practices by researching/learning new authoring tools, environments, media, and techniques to help employees drive revenue across the organization
• Ability to build lessons tailored to specific learning outcomes and write assessments to measure desired competencies related to revenue-focused roles
• A team player who can collaborate with stakeholders to understand and deliver eLearning modules that drive adoption and customer/employee retention
• Ability to quickly assess learning needs, propose, design, develop, deliver, and measure success of learning solutions in retail and sales-focused environments
• Demonstrated consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment
• Strong strategic-thinking skills with an ability to collaborate with team members on best practices
