This position is responsible for planning, development and supporting programs specific to professional development of healthcare personnel. Provides services such as analysis and implementation for organizational initiatives as they relate to professional development and as directed by department leadership. Participates in planning and coordinating educational activities that adhere to accreditation and regulatory requirements. This position is critical to fostering and nurturing the important relationship between schools of nursing and VMMC. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of program and / or project coordination work, one being in healthcare. Demonstrated initiative and independent judgment in non- routine matters. Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency with MS Office. Excellent verbal, written (grammar) and time management skills. Will need the ability to delegate tasks and work independently while being self-motivated. Experience resolving conflict is also required. Some college course work in allied health/business management also required. Preferred: 3+ years of experience in a program coordination capacity and knowledge of professional development for healthcare personnel and the ability to communicate complex ideas and results.
