Job Description
Essential Functions:
Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to perform the following functions:
• Obtains detailed and pertinent information regarding the consumer’s health and well-being.
• Assessing the assessment data is crucial to identify the diagnosis or elements of concern.
• An essential expected outcome of a personalized healthcare plan is that it fosters better patient engagement, which can lead to higher motivation levels for the patient to achieve their health goals.
• Outlines a strategic plan that incorporates both short-term and long-term objectives to achieve anticipated outcomes.
• Takes action in accordance with the plan formulated and oversees patient advancement to ensure successful outcomes.
• The coordination of care aims to minimize fragmentation and duplication of services.
• By incorporating health promotion strategies into daily life, individuals can strive to maintain a healthy and safe environment for themselves and others.
• The advanced practice registered nurse and the nursing role specialist are experts in providing consultation services to influence the identified plan, enhance the competencies of others, and effect change.
• Determining the degree to which outcomes have been achieved.

• Maintains a high level of professionalism in accordance with the standards established in the Code of Ethics for Nurses (ANA 2010).
Proficiently uses applicable technology and software to:
• Back up and document the nursing interventions and patient care strategies.
• Utilize all necessary work-related applications to stay engaged and productive within the organization. This may include frequently checking company email, completing iLearn training modules, actively participating in employee surveys, and staying informed about benefits, compensation, policies, and procedures.
• Actively seeks out new and creative ways to improve the quality of patient care delivery.
• Any other duties that may arise.
Additional Requirements
Required:
Education – Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
Certifications – Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
Preferred:
Experience – 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
Education – Bachelors degree in Nursing
Physical Requirments:
This job requires individuals to possess great physical strength, demanding constant exertion of over 25 pounds of force (67-100% of the time), frequent exertion of more than 50 pounds of force (34-66% of the time), and the ability to move objects that weigh over 100 pounds on occasion. The position may also require exposure to radiation and frequent contact with contaminated needles and other infectious bodily substances. Scheduling flexibility is also necessary, potentially including the ability to work night shifts or irregular hours.
