Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide staffing support per DON guidelines for the Records Management program to include the development, maintenance, operation, disposition, training, and monitoring.
• Adhere to SECNAVINST 5210.8 (series), NAVSEAINST 5210.5 (series), and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Records Management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Provide technical support and coordination to include data entry, monitoring, review and compliance of policies and procedures by supporting day-to-day operations, disposition of records, and assistance to Records Liaisons.
Travel
• This position includes a low level of travel.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required
• Associates degree in a related field. NOTE: Three years of directly related experience in applying records management practices, procedures, and information program operations and writing/editing various methods of communications for management may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Experience in NARA policies and procedures, federal records management programs.
• Excellent computer skills, and the ability to learn new software and systems.
• Project management skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Must maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.

Qualifications
• Active DoD Secret security clearance highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations on base.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently traverse stairs.
• Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
• Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
