The Automotive Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing increases in both company product production and dealership F&I performance within their region. Performance goals will include increasing revenues and developing accounts using our extensive portfolio of products and services. This role will solicit, receive, and transmit applications and proposals for Company products in the region assigned. It will develop the sales plan to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the region. This role will be responsible to hire, train, coach and hold accountable the District Managers in its region.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Account Development
• Develop and increase performance in existing accounts.
• Monitor conditions within the region, including activities with competitors, changes in the needs of customers and other local conditions and based on the information gathered make recommendations to upper management for the development of new products and marketing techniques.
• Audit accounts for accuracy, notify company of any discrepancies, and assist in corrections as needed.
• Become fully informed as to the provisions and benefits of each product offered by the company.
• Monitor the performance and progress of each District Manager by obtaining periodic reports, and by accompanying them on sales and service calls.
• Establish marketing plans and objectives and prepare written production forecasts for each District Manager’s territory.
• Supervise the promotion and maintenance of good customer relations by responding to complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
• Screen and recruit qualified candidates for District Manager position.
• Financial Responsibility – Expense Budgeting; Revenue Budgeting; Growth Forecast for Region.
• Support the Assurant Dealer Services Automotive Training Academy (ATA) by implementing ATA training courses within existing clients.
New Business Acquisition / Sales
• Activity pursues the acquisition of new accounts.
• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of District Managers to enhance skills to acquire new business/improve existing clients.
• Collaborate and work with ADS Business Development team members to drive acquisition activity to revenue growth.
• Solicit and obtain new business referrals from existing clients.
Number of Direct Reports
• The Automotive Regional Manager oversees approximately 5 District Managers.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
• A minimum of 5 years retail automotive dealership management experience.
• Experience with automotive sales and automotive F&I management, negotiation, and maintenance techniques.
• Prior experience selling directly to and signing new dealership clients.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
• A relevant bachelor’s degree
• At least 10 years of retail automotive dealership management experience.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, and team building skills and techniques.
• Prior leadership experience in which you have managed a team of 5 or more.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software is required. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Experience in the California or West Coast market, with current dealer relationships and knowledge.
• In-depth knowledge of reinsurance structures, and dealership participation.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM.
What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
• Most Regional Managers work from both offices and in the field.
• Office environment includes traveling to and from businesses.
• Prolonged sitting in car or office.
• Good Driving record required.
• Must be able to travel to dealerships in the region assigned.

• 50-75% Travel
Candidate will need to reside in Washington, California, or Arizona.

The Regional Development Manager is a commission-based position which is eligible for participation in a sales compensation plan and a biweekly non-recoverable draw. The non-recoverable draw is $192,000 annually. This role also participates in our Regional Development Manager Commission Program.
