Bids & Proposals Specialist
Our global manufacturing client has an exciting opportunity to join their aftermarket Account Management team as Bids & Proposals Specialist. They are a world leader in the mass transit industry; you will join a team of Sales & Account Managers that work closely with Engineering & Project Management to support the key account projects within your assigned territory.
Scope:
• Support preparation of bids and quotes for assigned accounts, define bid strategy, perform bid management, review cost calculations and develop business cases.
• Present proposals to customers and key stakeholders and negotiate bids.
• Responsible for business activities at the assigned accounts for all individual sales channels within aftermarket product portfolio within territory.
• Identify customer needs, identify competitor activities at customer, budget planning, maintenance and modernization plans
• Participate and support strategic business planning activities, including STRAP, MTP and Sales Forecast. Support definition of service strategy for individual projects.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers at all levels of customer organizations by maintaining regular contact by telephone, email, conferences, and personal visits.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• 3+ years of sales or account management experience
• Experience with equipment, aftermarket, HVAC or industrial automation/technological products
• Strong writing skills & contract negotiation skills required
• Prior experience with bid and proposal development- RFI/RFQ/RFP, Pricing, Bidding, Contract Negotiation, Proposal presentation, technical specification review
