The programs may encompass multiple projects, cross-departmental interfaces, multiple technologies, geographies, and assets. Individuals in this role work independently with some indirect supervision PMO Director or AVP and may have either direct reports or matrixed subordinate team members. The role requires regular analytical and metrics-based reporting to other staff, Executive Committee, and stakeholders.Opportunities will exist to support major capital construction and infrastructure renewal projects in various locations across the Amtrak system. Some examples of our capital projects include:• Susquehanna River Bridge• East River Tunnels• Connecticut River Bridge• Frederick Douglass (B&P) Tunnels• Concrete Tie Replacement Program• Hudson River TunnelPreferred Skills & Experience:• Strong project and program management skills• Superb communication and stakeholder management skills with focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service• Effectiveness working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project),• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or any combination of relevant education and experience• PMP certification• Must have work authorization in the United States.• Graduate degree• Transportation industry backgroundThe salary/hourly range is $113,200– 176,040. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
