Position Summary:
This position will support the coordination of the Poverty Simulator Program for the UTHealth’s Assistant Dean for Clinical Population Health and Advocacy. This position will provide administrative support, project coordination, website update, research support, some budgetary assistance, program development, marketing and implementation. Candidate will provide overall program design and execution for the Clinical Population Health an Advocacy Department in order to achieve assigned goals and objectives.
Position Key Accountabilities:
• Coordinates, develops, implements, and evaluates the strategic management/planning of the
Clinical Population Health an Advocacy Department
• Participates in all phases of assigned program coordination and in research related activities,
including assessing needs for program aims, targets and goals. ,
• Backup manager for the academic, clinical and meeting calendar of UTHealth’s Assistant Dean for
Clinical Population Health and Advocacy
• Completes some budgetary, people management under the poverty simulator, marketing,
recruitment and scheduling for the Clinical Population Health and Advocacy Department
• Uses program tools to collect program data; writes program reports and support research activities
• Interacts with many different types of stakeholders from different schools and institutions in order to
collaborate and facilitate programs.
• Monitors implementation of program policies and practices.
• Works to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly.
• Support program growth and development as necessary.
• Ensures that plans and protocols are followed to ensure compliance with all federal, state laws and
UTHSC-H policies, rules and regulations.
• Creating academic calendar for program in coordination with all UTHealth Houston schools,
recruitment of community volunteers, enrolling students to CAPS.
• Grow and manage distinguish community educator’s network.
• Other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
• Knowledge of MS Office, SPSS or statistics software applications.
• Bilingual in Spanish may be preferred.
Minimum Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
• Three years of related experience.
• May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
• Previous experience working in a community simulation is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
