Job Summary
Responsible for leading the breast cancer survivorship initiative. Coordinating and overseeing all breast cancer survivorship program activities and services. Develop strategic plan, focused on capturing newly diagnosed patients and supporting survivors through the survivorship workshop series. Developing and maintaining patient education and resources through programs, activities and events.
Essential Functions
• Monthly Program Management: Develop and research topics, implementing and attending evening/day survivorship programs and support groups. Contact all speakers, schedule day, time and location. Provide ongoing education for patients and volunteers through programs and support groups. Maintain a series of lectures to support survivorship initiative.
• Outreach: Work with other staff, departments, including community affairs, clinical trials, integrative medicine, physician offices, and One to One support group supervisor; organizing combined events and programs, allowing dual group involvement. Write grant request and seek partnership with community outreach programs as needed.
• Education: Collaborate with other departments, nurse navigators, staff, outside agencies to ensure a viable public image and presence of the program. Work with graphic design to create, design and edit quarterly program newsletter and weekly Facebook post. Coordinate health planner content updates. Responsible for quarterly newsletter and website content.
• Annual Symposium: Coordinate annual educational symposium including speakers, daily agenda, meals, vendors, and venue.
• Participation: Participate and represent Sharing and Caring program at community events, outreach programs, quarterly breast steering committee, breast work groups and survivorship work groups as needed. Act as a referral point for patients within system and to other community services.

Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years of relevant experience Minimum of three years’ experience planning/coordinating educational programs and fundraising event management.
• 3 years of relevant experience Three to five years of program coordination experience.
• Physician recruitment and direct patient care experience.
