Our Advanced Radar RF & Design Department has an immediate need for a Production Support engineer. We are looking for candidates to collaborate, and coordinate with our manufacturing facility, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. In this role, you will foster a culture of trust, transparency, compliance, diversity, inclusion, and accountability.
What You Will Do:
• Ensure Special Test Equipment is operable at all times while improving test yield
• Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner
• Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
• Communicate to program leadership status updates of hardware failures
• Travel periodically to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support the production (up to 25%).
What You Will Learn
• Conducting failure investigations and providing recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
• Fault isolation / troubleshooting at the system to WRA/LRU/Sub-system level
• Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires, a Bachelors degree in a related STEM discipline such as Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline with less than 2 years related experience.
• Experience with analyzing of technical data
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and provide recommendations to a cross functional team
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Experience in Manufacturing Engineering or supporting manufacturing in a Production environment
• Experience with fiber optic methodologies, standards, inspection criteria, equipment, or tools
• Experience with PRISM, SAP, and CMES
• Knowledge of Linux, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages
• Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD – 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
