Spherion Staffing of Lake and Sumter County has openings for Production Specialist located in Tavares. Our Production Specialist play a key role in our production process. They operate in a team-based environment to ensure quality, and safe and efficient, refilling, re-valving, requalifying, refurbishing, packaging, and storage of propane cylinders. Every cylinder is cleaned, leak-tested, inspected, and then delivered to tens of thousands of convenience stores nationwide.
These are temp-to-hire positions. Schedules vary based on production needs. Overtime and weekends required when needed.
1st shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm with a pay rate of $17/per hour.
2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00 pm to 3:30 am with a pay rate of $17.50/per hour.
Responsibilities:
-Load and unload propane tanks onto the production line according to established procedures.
-Ensure proper labeling and identification of tanks for efficient workflow.
-Assist in the packaging and shipment of propane tanks as needed.
-Verifying dates adn codes of tanks for usage.
Working hours: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
-Familiarity with basic machinery operations and the ability to operate pallet jacks safely.
-Excellentattention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
-Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
-Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.

Qualifications:
-Previous experience in loading and unloading duties within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
-Ability to read and write English to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, and complete necessary paperwork.
– Labor intensive
– Requiring frequent lifting and stacking of 40lb cylinders
– Work environment is an outdoor work environment with varying temperature conditions, previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing preferred
