About the Role:
As the Procurement Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for all procurement activities at Alcoa’s Technical Center (ATC) located in New Kensington PA related to ELYSIS. This professional will be supporting projects related to the deployment of ELYSIS technology. Be the point person for procurement challenges that may arise, operational deadlines, and procure quality materials and services while working in a strict Intellectual Property protection environment.
Other key responsibilities include:
• Gather location requirements for global strategies, providing support for ELYSIS project sourcing activities and support other portion of the business.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Service Provider (ESP) procurement and engineering team to deliver projects on-time at an optimal cost.
• Responsible for contract and supplier relationship management including Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking & execution.
• Perform continuous professional development activities and facilitating training when applicable.
• Executing ad-hoc operational buying activities (e.g. spot buys) for low and medium spend suppliers.
• Communicate short- and long-term strategies that are aligned with business needs.
• Utilize knowledge of the market, business, and commodity management to advise strategies.
• Create strategies and plans to measure efficiency, identify opportunities to consolidate functions, standardize process and streamline activities to meet efficiency goals.
• Collaborate with Procurement Services Center (PSC) Team to automate transactional activities.
• Acquire, create, and deliver procurement trainings and programs for personnel to ensure adherence to Procurement policies, processes, and contract procedures.
• Ensure Corporation’s Policy for safety and diversity initiatives are implemented. Works safely, reinforcing Alcoa’s safety procedures and practices to 3rd party venders.
• Negotiate, manage, and maintain contracts in ELYSIS contract management system and Alcoa’s Oracle system, in a timely manner.
• Conduct vendor audits and ensure compliance to contract specifications, including claims management, negotiation, and resolution.
• Executes Competitive Bids and RFP’s for goods and services
• Assists requestors and Plant Leadership with change management challenges associated with supplier transitions.
What you can bring to this role:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5-10+ Years’ Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience using Oracle ERP and Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
• Experience managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers and projects for a global organization.
• Familiarity with project & change management
• Ability to work in a highly Confidential environment, protecting ELYSIS IP
• Have a Technology Solutions Mindset.
• Proficient in procurement, negotiation, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
• Experience in buying; knowledge of procurement practices and processes
• Capability working with virtual customers at various organization levels.
• Proficient in prioritizing task for customer and project deadlines.
• Eager to expand knowledge in a changing environment.
