The idealcandidate will have flexibility to work a variety of hours to meetthe school’s demands including weekday, evening, and the weekend.The hours will vary will 4-8 hours per shift. You would beresponsible to:• Work with students during their assignment/s in the lab.• Evaluate students’ assignments.• Assist with laboratory needs at the direction and discretion ofthe full-time laboratory coordinator or designee including labschedule, manage lab supplies and provide overall student andfaculty lab support.Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities :(The essential functions or duties listed below are intendedonly as illustrations of the various types of work that may beperformed. The omission of specific statements of duties does notexclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or alogical assignment to the position.)• Review and provide feedback to students on assignments asappropriate.• Facilitate the clinical experience in the nursing skillslaboratory.• Maintain and manage inventory of laboratory supplies for theskills nursing lab.• Support students and faculty as needed in the laboratoryenvironment.• Assist with the facilitation, implementation, and evaluation ofsimulation activities and educational materials for all nursingcourses in collaboration with nursing faculty.• Collaborate with faculty to provide consistent and relevantstudent learning experiences to meet the course and laboratorylearning outcomes.• Maintains standard of care with relation to safety protocolsacross the laboratory environments.Other Functions :• Performs similar or related work as required, directed or assituation dictates.• Continues professional development and training; keeps currentwith trends.• Assists other department staff as needed to promote a teameffort.Knowledge, Ability and Skill :• Demonstrated commitment to promote diversity, equity, andinclusion, and work in an environment in which all members of theUniversity community are treated with respect and dignity.• Ability to effectively communicate with clinical partners,colleagues and students.QualificationsMinimum Required Qualifications :Education, Training and Experience :• Prepared at the MSN level• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience• Teaching experience with RN students is preferred.• An active license or eligibility for licensure as a registerednurse in the State of Connecticut.(This job description does not constitute an employmentagreement between Goodwin University and employee.
