Job Description
Infosys is seeking an Senior Technology Architect – Oracle Database Administrator with experience in Oracle Database Administration with RAC, Data guard, RMAN , Performance Tunning skill. The person will require experience in Production support, with proven abilities to handle Major (P1) incidents independently. The position will primarily be responsible for primary role would be to issue resolution, interface with the client for quality assurance, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. The selected candidate be able to do Server verification and troubleshooting with Ops-Unix and Ops-Storage. Also set up common server setups for applications in collaboration with server system admin team. Additionally the person should interact with customer process consultants and business SME to understand and analyze various processes. Candidate should derive automation opportunities and make recommendations.
Required Qualifications
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Columbus, IN or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent, will consider work experience in lieu of a degree
• 11 years of Information Technology experience
• 10+ years of experience with Oracle Database Administration and support
• Experience in Server verification and troubleshooting with Ops-Unix and Ops-Storage.
• Set up common server setups for applications in collaboration with server system admin team.
• Work with server system admin team on Printer Setup and troubleshooting.
• Setup and test application services Startup/Shutdown scripts on new instances.
• User Account Unlocking in database.
• Code migration (dev to test to prod) Migration process and Code migration (test to prod).
• Apply Security patches for Oracle RDBMS
• Perform performance tuning for databases under DBA support.
• Refresh non-prod databases from Production.
• Set up Database Backups using existing methodologies & Monitor Backups and taking corrective actions in case of failures/exceptions.
• Participate, as a DBA, with the Infrastructure teams for server movement tasks when server leases expires.
• Follow Standards for Server setups, DB structure.
• Shift handover/takeover from/to onsite/offshore.
Preferred Qualifications
• Create and review designs, validate the architecture and ensure high levels of service offerings to clients in the technology domain.
• Guide the teams towards developing optimized high quality code deliverables, continual knowledge management and adherence to the organizational guidelines and processes.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
