About the role
• Our GBU Peroxides Global Industrial Team integrates an “Operation & Capex Manager”, reporting to the GBU Industrial Technology and Operation Manager, in charge of ensuring safe, effective, and sustainable operations in each plant of the perimeter.
• You will interact and collaborate with the teams operating the plants in your perimeter, as well as with the GBU Industrial Team, in particular with the Technology teams and with the GBU Supply Chain team.
• As Operation & Capex Manager, you will:
• work closely with the plants within your perimeter (weekly or even daily) to ensure that the plant achieves its targets in terms of safety, VC, FC, OEE.
• be the interface between the Supply Chain team and the plants within your perimeter, in particular in the S&OP process (led by Supply Chain).
• be the interface between the Technology teams and the plants within your perimeter to ensure safe, effective, and sustainable operation and successful project implementation.
• support the plant’s teams on your perimeter to ensure: safe daily operations, monthly production is in line with the S&OP plan, the critical specific consumptions are meeting the targets, the fixed costs are in line with the targets and that the monthly performances are meeting the targets
• follow up the execution of the capex projects in the sites in your perimeter and contributing to the definition of the capex envelope of the GBU, including BFR06, BFR12 and the VCP-MTP annual cycle
• We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode (with min 3 working days on site). Flexible working hour patterns are needed in order to effectively collaborate with the site teams that might be in different time zones.
• The position also requires traveling to the sites within your perimeter at least once a year.
About you
• Relevant education degree in chemical engineering
• Relevant work experience in H2O2 manufacturing of which majority in production sites and previous experience as Plant manager in an industrial environment
• Competencies:
• Industrial HSE and risk management
• H2O2 and eH2O2 safety, process, plant operation and associated risks and mitigation
• Knowledge of the capex management procedures and approval processes within the GBU and Solvay Group

About the pay and benefits
• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Belgium) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 120,000 euros to 140,000 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
