So since I’ve started working in health care, my goal had really been to just really see what I wanted to do. So it took me probably two or three years to figure out, hey, you know, nursing is really the best for me. It’s so flexible, and there’s so many different avenues I can go to. And once I started going back to school, Providence, in every area that I worked, was so great with working with my schedule, with being super supportive in every single way. Like, “Yeah, you can do this. You’re gonna be great.” You know, I mean, et cetera. I mean, in every aspect, I felt like, man, I really can do this, and Providence has my back. Like, they know that I’d be a great asset, and they tell me that. And it makes me feel just great knowing that, you know, I have the support behind me.

Description
The Nursing Assistant employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills to perform basic patient care. Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse or RN, the Nursing Assistant assists with routine, direct bedside care of patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service. Such duties include, but are not limited to: personal hygiene, data collection and observation, vital signs, I&O, use of equipment, ADL’s, documenting on the medical record, answering call lights, and recognizing and responding to emergency situations.

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association

• Acute care or specialty experience.
