Job Summary:
Mr. Cooper is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processing Manager to lead and manage a team of Refinance loan processors. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of a team of loan processors, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of mortgage loan applications. This role requires strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of mortgage regulations, and the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Management: Lead, train, and mentor a team of mortgage loan processors. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to ensure team success.
• Pipeline Management: Oversee the loan pipeline, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all mortgage applications. Implement strategies to manage and optimize workflow to meet production goals.
• Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all loan processing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
• Quality Control: Monitor loan files for accuracy and completeness. Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Customer Service: Serve as an escalation point for complex issues, providing resolution in a timely manner. Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including loan officers, underwriters, and clients.
• Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the processing team. Provide regular reports and feedback to senior management on team performance and productivity.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and improve overall loan processing quality.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, loan processing procedures, and industry regulations (e.g., RESPA, TILA, HMDA).
• Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in mortgage loan origination software (Encompass) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, senior management, and clients.
