The Mix Operator operates equipment in mix room, provide for spray drying per production schedule.
• Mix raw materials as required using formula provided for each product
• Follow batching instructions and record all necessary information on batch control records.
• Ensure that proper ingredients are used by verifying warehouse batches
• Responsible for running Clean-In-Place (CIP) operations
• Follow aseptic procedures at all times
• Correctly follow all production, cleaning procedures as described in the SOP
• Know the location of all raw and packaging materials and finished production within the warehouse
• Maintains records including but not limited to computer, sanitation, pre-op and batch tickets
Competency & Skill Requirements
• Must be self-disciplined, a team player, and be able to handle emergency situations common to the operation
• Must follow all written and oral instructions and takes direction from Production Supervisor/Manager
Education & Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Food manufacturing or infant formula manufacturing experience preferred
Physical Requirements
• Able to lift 50 lb./25 kg bags or drums during the batching and bagging process
• Need ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform adjustments to equipment, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor
Regulatory Requirements
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, follow CGMP’s, and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements
• Will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local standards for the manufacture of infant formula and other non-infant nutritional foods
