Job Description:
Educates prospective members on SelectHealth Medicare products and services. Conducts service and sales in full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. Enrolls customers who are eligible in the SelectHealth Medicare Advantage plan.
Job Essentials
• Acts as the main point of contact representing SelectHealth in telecommunication sales and customer service for SelectHealth Medicare products.
• Submits Medicare enrollment applications in a complete and timely manner. Follows-up as needed to ensure member expectations are met and applications are processed correctly.
• Meets Medicare sales and sales development goals as assigned by management. Generates sales as needed to produce and meet expectations.
• Conducts sales activities related to inbound call inquiries regarding SelectHealth Medicare products. This includes activities such as: respond to inquiries, generates appointments, following-up on leads, referrals, and re-marketing opportunities.
• Tracks and responds to leads in the sales tracking system. Follows-up on leads to provide information and discuss Medicare options.
• Educates callers on correct use of their plans, including coverage of benefits, utilization, and administrative guidelines, in collaboration with teammates and other departments. Stays current on general plan design and modifications to provide accurate and appropriate information.
• Facilitates the prompt resolution of benefits and enrollment questions of potential Medicare Advantage enrollees on the initial call or provides timely follow-up when additional research is required.
• Maintains the confidentiality of member’s personal information to be compliant with internal confidentiality policy. Maintains customer history in member tracking using correct codes and detailed comments.
• Conducts all sales and activities in full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Utah, Nevada, and Idaho State Health Insurance License as follows: incumbent must have a resident licensure in the state where incumbent resides and a non-residential licensure in the states where incumbent does not reside; or the ability to obtain these licenses within 6 months of hire.
• and –
Active certification through America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) for Medicare plus Fraud, Waste, and Abuse; or the ability to obtain this certification within 6 months of hire.
Two years of customer service experience.
• or –
Two years of inside direct sales or telemarketing experience in a health insurance environment,
• and –
Intermediate computer skills including experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or a business-related field
Working knowledge of CMS Marketing & Communication Regulations.

Ability to identify, develop, and implement process improvements.
• and –
Understanding and functional knowledge of health insurance, including medical and pharmacy benefits.
• and –
Detail oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills.
• and –
Knowledge of general office procedures and Facets.
• and –
Demonstrated willingness to assist in any necessary duties to help meet department objectives.
Three years of Medicare Advantage Experience.
• and –
Ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements.
Physical Requirements:
Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.

Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

See and read computer monitors and documents.
• and –
Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
