Corewell Health Regional lab is a high volume and fast paced environment with a large generalist team. A great place to learn and grow skills with many interesting cases. Generalist departments may include Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology, Coagulation, and Blood Bank. CAP accredited lab with many growth opportunities for those who seek them out.
About Hospital
Corewell Health Regional Lab serves many types of patients and providers. Located on the Butterworth campus, we serve inpatients from Butterworth (including Level 1 Trauma Center), Meijer Heart Center, and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. We also serve many outpatient draw sites and offices. We also support more complex testing for many associated Corewell Health regional hospitals.
Scope of work
Performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following departmental protocols to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment. Prepares specimens for testing, screens patient specimens, and analyzes patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Performs quality control procedures and assists in maintaining an efficient and effective laboratory operation.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field preferred
• Associate’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field is required
• Currently enrolled in a CLS internship or certification eligible is preferred
• ASCP or AMT certification within 1 year
