Apple Valley Animal Hospital was built in the early 1990s by Drs. Marietta and Kim Walls, both graduates of Virginia Tech. They had a vision of a veterinary hospital that treats pets with the same level of medical care, compassion, and attention given to human patients. Now they are planning for retirement and looking for a new Medical Director to lead Apple Valley. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who has a passion for leadership and practicing top-quality medicine. Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise surgical and medical cases throughout the practice, ensuring successful outcomes and clear communication with clients.
• Engage in the recruitment and interview process for both doctors and support staff.
• Work closely with the Hospital Manager to develop staff training programs and track continuing education.
• Promote revenue growth, control hospital expenses, and participate in strategic planning efforts.
• Guide medical standards, maintain quality of care, and oversee inventory management.
• Foster community engagement and oversee client service, marketing, and growth strategies.
• Mentor and provide support to associate veterinarians, encourage learning and collaboration across our team.
