MBA Employer Engagement Supervisor
BYU Marriott School of Business is seeking a seasoned Executive to build strategic recruiting partnerships with leading companies and support full-time BYU MBA students in expanding their career opportunities. Reporting to the Director of BYU MBA Career Management, this role focuses on cultivating relationships across diverse sectors, including Consulting, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Real Estate, and emerging industries. Key responsibilities include enhancing internship opportunities and securing well-compensated full-time positions. The position involves providing personalized coaching to students in collaboration with the Director. This part-time role (15-20 hours per week) is based in Utah, offering a mix of on-campus and remote work opportunities. The ideal candidate is a retired senior executive with extensive C-Suite or partner-level experience, dedicated to contributing to Brigham Young University and the BYU Marriott School of Business community.

What you’ll do in this position:
• Develop a strategy for company outreach, identify targeted companies, industries, and key alumni for outreach.
• Maintain a database of alumni in specific high-value companies and develop an ongoing relationship with alumni and recruiters.
• Create a pipeline into BYU, including introducing key alumni to the MBA program Director/professors, integrate them into the professional development seminars on campus, involve them in Club/Association activities and meetings, establish informational sessions for internships and full-time roles.
• Together with supervisor, identify a strategy for developing and training students to prepare for careers in high-paying firms, and advise MBA Program Director and the Advisor to the Consulting Club Association on specific skills that could be integrated into MBA curriculum.
• Understand students’ backgrounds aptitudes, motivations, concerns, ideas, interests, dislikes, location preferences to appropriately advise on individualized career exploration.
• Under the direction of the Director, MBA Career Management, assist students in securing internship and full-time positions and prepare them with soft-skill competencies required for successful career progression.
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
• A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
• Bachelor’s degree (accounting, finance, business management, or economics) and 15+ years of relevant corporate experience in targeted industries such as PE/VC, investment banking, consulting, etc.
• Professional experience within a corporate environment.
• Experienced in collaborating across organizations to achieve stated objectives.
• Critical thinking and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• comfortable using the latest office technology (strongly preferred)
