As a Team Leader in the Material Services team, you will lead the team responsible for preparing orders for shipment, unloading and loading trucks with finished goods in the warehouse work area. Core work hours are Monday – Friday, 2:45pm-11:15pm. Being reliable and meeting our attendance expectations is required, as is flexibility to work both daily and weekend overtime hours as scheduled.
Essential job functions include but are not limited to:
• Assure that the team has the support, training, knowledge, tools, materials, and equipment to perform their jobs.
• Foster a safe work environment for yourself and your team. Sustain the safety culture and promote safety always. Educate and audit for compliance to safety and 5S standards.
• Lead by example.
• Organize the “plan for the day” and communicate and coordinate team activity. Escalate appropriately when abnormal conditions are presented.
• Lead team meetings and share information.
• Report out metrics and work collaboratively with other leaders at Tier 2.
• Practice active problem solving and use the MOS tools to drive continuous improvement.
• Respect the equipment and facility. Participate in incident investigations.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and an interest in working in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties as required.
On an as needed basis for relief during breaks or to cover planned or unplanned absences:
• Pick and pack out cartons for customer orders.
• Stage finished goods for shipment.
• Apply stretch wrap and banding, apply shipping labels and transact inventory.
• Load and unload trucks with finished goods.
On an as needed basis, reporting to the Lapeer site:
• Bring materials to the production floor.
• Stock components and point-of-use racks in the work centers.
• Clear work areas and restock to support changeovers.
• Transport finished goods from the production floor to the shipping area.
• Load and unload trucks through Shipping or Receiving docks.
Physical Requirements of the position:
• Operate power driven equipment (forklift, floor sweeper, scissors lift).
• Frequently climb on and off from the PIT equipment.
• Operate a handheld scanner and use an electronic scale and stretch wrapper.
• Lift, push, carry and place parts with arms extended.
• Lift, bend and reach, including below waist level and above shoulder level.
• Lift, push and pull weights of up to 35lbs frequently and up to 60lbs occasionally. (Propane tanks weigh about 57lbs when full.)
• Use hands to manipulate parts, move boxes, carry tools.
• Use vision to inspect parts, read labels and inventory sheets.
Education and Experience/Skills:
• Complete Shop Floor Management TL modules within 12 months of starting in role
• Previous experience in a production environment
• High School graduate or GED preferred
• Ability to interpret reports & analyze data
• Proficiently use laptop computer, including MS Office programs and inventory software.
• Experience using SAP and WMiS is preferred.

• Work independently, make decisions, and communicate with others.
Pay range for this position is $22.20 – $24.20 per hour, including shift premium. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills. Delta Faucet hourly team members are performance bonus and benefit eligible within 60 days from hire. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k match, life insurance, paid time off and more.
