About The Role
What will you be responsible for?
To provide Supply and Logistics support and analysis of performance regional and site materials management teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials required to satisfy Newmont’s standards and maintenance planning. Provide guidance and analysis to ensure inventory levels are consistent with the principles of good inventory control utilizing demand management tools per systems and processes determined by the Commercial Supply Chain (SC) organization. Monitor and support optimal inventory levels resulting from planned or unplanned usage. Perform as a specialist and key subject matter expert for identifying and implementing improvements in working capital and materials management aligned to the Center-Led Operating Model. Work with site and regional SC to ensure Inventory Control targets are delivered and the safe, effective, and efficient method is used. Assist the SC Center of Excellence in training and supporting other departments within Newmont in best practices.

Materials Management / Inventory Analysis
• Analyze and maintain inventory levels using demand management tools available, assist and oversee the handling of inventory-related issues including the use of software to plan and analyze purchases and delivery schedules, and coordinate stock counts.
• Support and analyze the end-to-end process for materials management, providing best-practice insights and data to identify opportunities for improvements or better compliance to Newmont standards
• Utilize forecasting models and historical data to accurately predict materials demand, facilitating proactive planning and resource allocation.
Site Inventory Performance And Control Expert
• Optimize inventory to reduce inventory outages and ensure internal order fill rate objectives are met and exceeded, ensure demand management tools are used correctly to right size inventory levels and improve inventory turn rates.
• Support site and regional materials and warehouse management teams in maintaining count accuracy (digital and physical counting), and lead inventory count efforts and investigations for discrepancies as discovered or other KPIs identified by the center-led MM team
• Work closely with site teams to ensure that materials meet the required standards, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of end products.
• Work with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and maintenance planners to optimize processes and inventory visibility, controls, and performance.
Data Analysis And Systems Support
• Provide inventory control reports as required, including inventory usage, inventory turn rates, and inventory gains and losses at a global, regional, site or project basis.
• Provide support to Sites to optimize working capital management.
• Analyze and optimize inventory levels to support forecasted demand.
• Provide support and optimize in-bound logistics flows.
• Analyze and provide support services for critical material requirements for Sites.
• Maintain the enterprise inventory planning system.
• Monitor stock ageing to ensure the management of inactive/surplus/obsolete stock is optimized and actively managed.
Other
• Other Materials Management and Transportation & Logistics activities as directed or needed on a project basis.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in business, analysis, or equivalent or equivalent of 10+ years of experience in utilizing analytical tools, process analysis and materials management systems in a mining, construction or manufacturing industries or related areas.
Experience
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Supply, Warehousing and/or materials with demonstrated greater levels of analysis of data, processes, and systems.
• 7+ years of working knowledge in Materials Management, Logistics and Supply Chain or relevant are desirable but not essential.
• Strong demonstrated track record of working in a similar materials management and Transportation & Logistics position in a demand management / inventory control capacity.
• Global and regional warehousing experience is essential as is deep understanding of materials planning, management, and optimization/disposal experience.
• Mining/Asset intensive industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Proven ability to communicate at all levels, from support staff to senior leadership team members is essential.
• Strong regional, country, or site cultural and warehouse best-practice knowledge with ability to support and advise based on knowledge or experiences help analyze materials management processes and systems.
• Skills and Abilities:
• Expert SAP and SAP Ariba and Oniqua, or other Materials Management and Transportation & Logistics, project management and Commercial related technology solutions is required.
• Structured and well organized with exceptional time management skills
• Impeccable stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Behavior consistent with Newmont values.
• Able to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines within a diverse team.
• Multi- Language (e.g., Spanish, French, or Dutch) skills is a plus
• Well-developed communication, influencing and leadership skills.
Working conditions and locations
The position’s primary location is in either Denver, CO or Perth, Australia or Melbourne, Australia. However, remote working conditions may be considered.
Collaboration and interaction are expected with the entire Commercial (Supply Chain) team and across the global, regional, and site organization across multiple time zones.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $90,720 to 107,730. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
