Summary:
The Marketing Program Specialist executes on digital and/or direct marketing strategies to help meet business objectives and manages marketing campaigns supporting various banking business lines. This position implements marketing initiatives to create new-to-bank relationships or to deepen relationships with existing customers by providing marketing support for assigned product lines, market segments, or geographic regions. This role coordinates and oversees marketing projects such as direct and/or digital marketing campaigns, sales promotions, seminars, and special events to help meet marketing goals. The Marketing Program Specialist will also analyze data to identify potential marketing and cross-sell opportunities and to ensure that the company remains competitive, while acting as liaison with various internal and external contacts regarding marketing projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the implementation and/or execution of marketing programs, with responsibility of helping meet financial, marketing, regulatory, legal, operational, product, projects and strategic objectives.
• Assist with defining and recommending opportunities for offer, creative and package formats.
• Develop timelines for all marketing campaign components — pre-planning, business case development and presentation, target audience modeling and selection, creative development, review and approval processes, quality control processes, print/production and mailing.
• Co-lead the creation and execution of direct marketing campaigns.
• Partner with advertising agencies and internal teams (including segment managers, product managers, creative/brand team, legal and compliance) to ensure creative brief and deliverables for each marketing campaign are on strategy, on time and on budget.
• Help manage the review and approval process of all marketing campaign components with creative/brand team, legal and compliance.
• Co-lead the quality control process including target audience list audits for all marketing channels ensuring the business objectives are met, test design is followed and all variable components for printed materials and variable laser printing (such as name, address, offer, rate, product, dates, etc.) are accurate.
• Assist with directing production vendors and internal teams to ensure the flawless execution of marketing campaigns.
• Assist with managing across all production vendors to ensure marketing campaign components meet brand and quality guidelines and are delivered according to agreed-upon timeline and budget.
• Partner with segment, product and analytics teams to help ideate on marketing campaigns that achieve business objectives.
• Assist with defining and recommending opportunities for offer, creative and package formats.
• Helps manage the budget for marketing campaign by working with advertising agencies and production vendors to provide recommendations and options that will achieve business objectives while being cost efficient.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1+ years of direct marketing and project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in financial services and/or consumer goods marketing
• Experience managing agency and vendor relationships
• Knowledge of database and direct marketing principles including customer segmentation, testing and applying results to improve future campaigns
• Must be detail-oriented, with an analytical and financial orientation
• Strong relationship building skills with ability to collaborate effectively across broad stakeholder groups
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience managing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns including mail, email and online channels and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
