Overview
The Manufacturing Specialist I is responsible for supporting the material presentation of an array of manufacturing products in a production environment according to quality standards and established procedures.
Responsibilities
• Assembly of Tactile products following quality standards and written work instructions
• Accurate reporting of daily production quantities
• Maintain accurate inventories for all components and tools necessary to support team in manufacturing garments
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping area and workstation neat and organized. This includes sweeping, dusting, and mopping when needed.
• Pays attention to detail and specifics during the assembly and production process
• Recognize problems or quality concerns and escalates as needed while understanding the impact to product quality or process flow
• Communicate and work collaboratively with team members to ensure production flows smoothly
• Maintain compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements, including HIPAA
• Pick, pack and ship of products and marketing materials, if required
• Consistently meet or exceed individual productivity standards
• Maintain an organized work area (5s system)
• Adheres to attendance and punctuality guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Required:
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or similar workplace environments
Preferred:
• Previous experience in medical device assembly
Knowledge & Skills:
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds from floor to table
• Ability to stand for 2–3 hour blocks
• Comfortable working on computers, especially Microsoft Outlook. Navigating ERP and QMS systems.
