How will you make an impact?
The Life Sciences Group within Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Finance Manager to serve as the planning and forecasting systems lead. This role will serve as the subject matter expert of our enterprise planning applications and partner with a diverse set of finance teams to facilitate, improve, and support the planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for the Life Sciences finance teams (LSG and BPG). The ideal candidate is a FP&A individual with a strong foundational and technical understanding of the planning process with excellent communication and project management skills.
What you will do:
• Lead and support the divisional and regional finance teams with the annual operating plan (AOP) and monthly forecast process.
• Maintain and manage group divisional allocation processes
• Own all reporting facets of the forecast and AOP ensuring accuracy and timely execution of plans through closely partnering with FP&A and IT teams during planning cycles and leading reconciliation across all systems.
• Support end-user requests and resolve user’s issues by investigating and resolving with the appropriate technical team.
• Champion user competency and adoption of new planning tools and techniques ensuring that solutions are consistently implemented across the finance organization through training, onboarding and user engagement.
• Support overall data strategy of centralization, consistency, automation and visualization.
How will you get here:
Education & Experience
• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with experience in financial systems, computing, and/or data sciences preferred.
• 5+ years in Finance, Accounting, or IT at a large company.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Extensive experience with Hyperion Planning and EPBCS (Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service). Experience with other EPM tools considered a plus.
• Deep understanding of the budgeting/forecasting process and associated key performance indicators
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements while working as a liaison between business and technical teams
• Organized, meticulous, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accuracy that delivers results in a fast-paced environment
• Effective verbal & written communication across all levels of the organization
• Customer-centric, focused on providing proactive systems solutions to drive business performance
• Experience with Python or other coding languages considered a plus
• Dashboarding experience in PowerBI, Tableau considered a plus
• Advanced user in Microsoft excel (PowerPivot, VBA, etc)
• Natural bias towards continuous improvement. Exposure to PPI/Kaizen methodologies is considered an advantage
Pay & Benefits:
The salary range estimated for this position is $100,000- $130,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Californie is $103,100.00–$135,000.00.
