LocumJobsOnline is working with CompHealth to find a qualified Gastroenterology MD in West Virginia! About The Position CompHealth is assisting a hospital in West Virginia with their search for a general gastroenterologist. The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with 2 days for endoscopies per week, and procedures on a block schedule. You will see an average of 18 to 22 patients per day, including consults. Inpatient (day call) is rotated weekly, so the week you are on inpatient, you do not see any patients in the clinic. Weeknight call is rotated nightly. Weekend call (Friday at 5 pm through Monday at 8 am) is rotated by all the physicians. Currently, there are 5 gastroenterologists and 3 APPs in the group. The APPs always work inpatient Monday through Friday to assist the physician on inpatient rotations. Candidates can be a board-certified or board-eligible M.D.s or D.O.s. They welcome practicing physician, recent graduates, or in fellowship. They will also consider J-1 and H-1B visas.
