What You Will Do:
• Provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Redhat 7 & 8 Enterprise Linux environment.
• Understanding and knowledge of Linux Server internals to include DNS, File sharing protocols, DHCP, AD integration via LDAP, file system structures and permissions.
• Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
• Knowledge of data backup uses and technologies.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically, Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with Redhat servers and workstations.
• Familiarity with ESXi ,VMware, vSphere, and/or other virtual computing methods.
Qualifications We Value:
• Familiar with NetApp / Ontap storage soutions.
• Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
• Familiar with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products.
• Familiar with NAS and / or SAN storage capabilities
• Familiar with application installation and multi-server environment/deployment
• Scanning using tools such as Nessus and SCAP
• Familiarity with High Performance Computing ( HPC ) Environments
• Experience with Enterprise Active Directory (AD) & LDAP
• Familiarity with Databases including MariaDB, Oracle, and SQL
• Experience dealing with Managed Anti-Virus (AV) solutions.
• Scripting Experience (Bash, Python, Ansible) and Kickstart
• Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.
• Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
• Critical thinking – ability to solve technical problems independently and with collaborative teams.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD – 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
