Description:

Position Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Laundry Supervisor, is responsible for the processing of linen, uniforms, and specialty items.
What you will do:
• Responsible for the processing of linen, uniforms, and specialty items.
• Maintain production standard required to satisfy daily schedule.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of equipment and work area.
• Complies with hospital policies relating to safety, universal precautions, and employee health.
Environment and Working Conditions May be subject to unpleasant odors, heat, and humidity. Employee may frequently be exposed to blood, body tissues or fluids; hazardous waste materials; dust; bodily injuries; loud noises; high humidity or wetness.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service operation.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
