Jordan’s Furniture is looking for a Lift Mechanic to join our dedicated team where your expertise will elevate the standards of vertical transportation. In this position you will work independently to repair, maintain, and install electrical, HVAC, mechanical, refrigeration, and electronic theater systems and equipment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations. This position is located in Taunton, MA and has a schedule of Monday – Friday; 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities we trust you to perform:
• Diagnose and performs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs/maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment, including but not limited to lift trucks, reach trucks, pallet Jacks, fork trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, balers, associated building operational support equipment, etc.
• Perform routine checks/inspects of equipment and performs preventive maintenance and repairs to keep the equipment operating properly and safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to perform job duties
• Operate and repair equipment such as forklifts, maintenance vehicles, pallet jacks and warehouse supporting equipment
• Perform a daily walk through of the facility with designated lists
• Generate and process maintenance repair orders
• May be required to drive to other locations to perform duties
Qualifications
What you bring to the table:
• 3 to 6 years experience with power industrial equipment repair
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical theory, including both AC/DC power circuits and systems, motor controls, and electronic control systems
• Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management System (EMAINT.) preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to perform job duties.
• Must be adaptable to different working environments: working independently, with limited supervision and/or as a part of group setting and supporting/assisting with facility projects and demands as needed.
• Must be a safety conscious individual and work in accordance with all applicable safety guidelines/regulations and Jurisdictional code/requirements
• Must have a valid driver’s license and successfully complete D.O.T. certification
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot and identify and rectify problems
• Certification as a power industrial equipment mechanic and or post-secondary certificate or training as a mechanic
• Must solely and safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs, work at heights of 35′-50 ft. and work in confined spaces
• Effective communication skills
