We offer employees many benefits including free meals if you work a double shift, beautiful walking paths for your breaks and opportunities for growth both in the TCU and Assisted Living!Responsibilities/Job Description• Coordinates leisure programs, activities, exercise classes, and special events for older adults in an assisted living residence.• Encourages resident participation, and reports changes in residents’ mood and physical status.• Promotes independence and helps develop socialization• Other duties as assigned by Activities DirectorQualificationsRequired Skills:Solid understanding of basic Microsoft /computer programsAbility to interact effectively and compassionately with senior living residents/tenantsMus have experience working with seniors Must have good communication and social skillsMust be comfortable leading activities with older residentsPreferred Skills:High School Diploma or GED preferred, but willing to consider others with the right skills and/or previous related work experienceOne to three years previous experience either; working with older adults, leading activities, or working in a therapy or recreation role preferred or having formal related educationPreference is given to candidates with previous experience with memory loss careWork experience in a customer service setting
