The Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) seeks a professional administrative officer for the Office of Chief Counsel (OCC) for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will assist attorneys within the OCC’s Unemployment Compensation Board of Rereview (UCBR) Division and supervise legal clerical staff. Your history of leadership, team building, and process development and implementation within a legal office will serve you in establishing and maintaining productivity goals to ensure efficient operations. Duties for this role include preparing legal pleadings for the Pennsylvania courts, conducting legal research, drafting legal correspondence, overseeing the docketing and managing case files, supervising staff in preparing pleadings to be filed, assisting attorneys in the preparation of cases for court or other tribunals, and ensuring contracts are properly prepared for execution.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, three days in the office and two teleworking (anticipated). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
• Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.
