Description
North Risk Partners is looking for a fun, energetic, organized team member with a passion for education and helping others succeed in their learning and development goals.
The Learning and Development Partner will support training initiatives by creating documentation and training materials, certifying functional trainers to deliver training, and creating and maintaining the North Risk Partners Learning Management System. This role will be a critical partner in organizational strategic initiatives and implementation of organizational changes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and update North Risk’s training checklist and program based on feedback from functional leaders
• Partner with subject-matter experts to create learning objectives for training topics
• Partner with communication department to ensure alignment of brand and professionalism in training materials
• Provide onsite support during acquisition onboarding and training
• Develop a working knowledge of all insurance products and North Risk’s business model
• Support training and development opportunities within the organization by promoting and engaging in training initiatives and professional development events
• Use various communication mediums to ensure team members are aware of learning and development opportunities
• Stay in-the-know on company happenings and effectively disperse information
• Advocate for and encourage team to attend and engage in training and development opportunities
• Stay abreast of industry learning opportunities and share with team members as appropriate
• Oversee and coordinate external CE (continuing education) and CISR learning opportunities
• All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education, Experience, and Certifications
• A combination of education and experience obtained through a bachelor’s degree in education or Instructional design equivalent and 3 – 5 years of successful adult learning or training experience. Experience in adult education required; insurance industry experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize technology for teaching and leading teaching purposes, creating training documents, facilitating learning through various mediums, including but not limited to, virtual, in person, and self led curriculum.
• Previous experience creating and building curriculum within a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.
• Previous experience creating content within Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-starter who regularly demonstrates initiative.
• Ability to maintain necessary insurance license(s) as needed.
• Ability to travel to North Risk Partner locations both existing and new on an as needed basis.
