Position Summary
The intelligence we gather comes in many forms, often in a foreign language. Our Cryptologic Language Analysts translate and analyze these messages to make sure they’re accurate and available for key decision-makers. Proficient in languages like Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Persian Farsi, Hebrew, Pashto or Urdu, they’re essential to helping us safely complete our missions.
Primary Responsibilities
• Translate and transcribe intercepted voice and graphic communications.
• Identify regional and cultural factors associated with activities of interest.
• Seek, identify and process other communications.
• Operate voice and graphic communications equipment.

Qualifications
• A high school senior (age 17 or older)*, high school diploma, a GED or 15 college semester hours
• 62 General (G) score on the ASVAB
• Successfully complete a polygraph test.
• Completion of a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and Top Secret clearance
• No speech disorders or noticeable communication deficiencies
• Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 42
• High school students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year.
