Summary:
Implement strategies and processes that evaluate work for acceptability and compliance with regulatory, safety, quality, and productivity standards. Responsible for providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of the assigned Laboratory section by ensuring technical excellence while actively promoting a Lean work culture. Ensure standard work and continual process improvement in accordance with CMC policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Gather information regarding incidents, complaints and other situations and assist manager in investigations and resolutions using tools to seek solutions and improvements.
• Perform daily oversight of Lean work environment while ensuring adherence to Lean Principles and processes. Perform standard work and metric reviews, audits and gemba walks.
• Investigate and help implement ideas that represent improvements.
• Update procedures and write new protocols. Competency checks for med techs and assays in Lab. Interview new applicants.
• Assist manager in developing section goals aligned with division and hospital goals and objectives.
WORK EXPERIENCE
• At least 3 years experience in discipline Required
• At least 2 years previous leadership/management experience Preferred
EDUCATION
• Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
• MLS(ASCP) or HT(ASCP) or equivalent or certification eligible; must acquire certification within 12 months of hire date. 1 Year Req
