As an IT Procurement Specialist at Southern Veterinary Partners, you will be responsible for the day-to-day ordering and management of IT hardware and software. Your role within SVP IT will be to support various teams and manage and maintain the entire procurement lifecycle. You will partner closely with the IT Asset Manager, Project Coordinators, and Central Accounting.
The ideal IT Procurement Specialist will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and an ability to continuously find ways to improve processes to support the growing needs of SVP.
Responsibilities for Procurement Specialist
• Assist in identifying key suppliers of IT hardware/software and services
• Assist in negotiating terms with suppliers
• Liaise with suppliers and project coordinators (internal and external) regarding updates and status of products
• Generate purchase orders and provide order tracking with timely updates to clinics
• Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of products and services delivered
• Assist with inventory monitoring to ensure the flow of product remains positive
• Assist with asset management, inventory tracking and maintenance/support renewals
• Work closely with the project teams to understand hardware and services that will be needed for upcoming clinic deployments and upgrades
• Dispatch of third party for IT Services.
• New Hire onboarding (Corp Employees)
• Ordering/Managing Printers and SIM Cards
• Perform other duties along side Service Desk
Qualifications for Procurement Specialist
• Bachelors or 1 year of experience
• Prior experience working as a procurement specialist in the same area preferred
• ServiceNow experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of the IT industry and current market conditions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Ability to travel and meet vendors and suppliers as necessary
