Peak Performers is currently seeking a skilled Help Desk Technician to provide up to second level technical support for complex end-user computer support and assistance on telecommunication , computer hardware, software and network system issues.
Major duties:
• Provide technical support for employees, ensuring that problems and requests have appropriately been documented and resolved
• Set up equipment for employees use, and perform or ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software, and checks for proper functionality
• Creates problem tickets in Agency incident tracking software ( ServiceNow)
• Provide user training in the use of available hardware, software and utilities
• Track and maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
• Install and configure software products, service packs and updates
• Assist with configuring, monitoring, tuning, and end-user computers, network applications or services
• Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in IT support, knowledge of personal computers, printers, other peripheral equipment, Microsoft products (Windows, Office 365), and other applicable software
• E xperience in a high-volume call center/help desk environment is required
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues on end-user laptops
• Familiarity with remote support tools and techniques
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Provide technical support for employees, ensuring that problems and requests have appropriately been documented and resolved
Preferred qualities:
• Experience in Public Sector delivery
About This Position
• Rate: $ 26.00 – $31.00 p er hour
• Length of engagement: Through 8/6 /202 4 with extension options and conversion possibility
• Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM unless otherwise coordinated, 40 hours per week
• Location: Austin, TX , ( Remote ) Candidates must be local to Texas
