Job Summary
Hybrid role that will be responsible for the day-to-day non-investment functions of Corewell Health’s investment portfolios, which include operating, defined benefit pension, and health insurance assets. Collaborate with the investment team to provide operational support in managing the portfolios, such as coordinating investment-related transactions, reconciling cash, and assisting with the audit process. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with key stakeholders, both internally (Treasury and Finance/Accounting) as well as externally (investment consultant, custody bank, auditors, and actuaries). This role will also be focused on standardizing and automating non-investment functions to make the team more efficient; therefore, experience implementing new systems and/or processes is a plus.
Essential Functions
• Manage daily operational processes, including coordination of all investment-related transactions
• Reconcile cash, investment transactions, and market values with custody bank system & performance reports
• Ensure proper onboarding / documentation of new investment managers with the custody bank and investment consultant
• Work closely with Finance/Accounting on the monthly close and year-end audit processes as it relates to investments
• Manage relationships with external service providers, including custody banks, fund administrators, data providers, etc.
• Improve & automate operational processes & procedures to ensure best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualifications
Required
• Bachelors in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or Audit
