Job Overview
Advantage Surveillance, a leading insurance defense investigation firm in the region, is seeking a dedicated Surveillance Investigator in Chicago, IL. This role is vital to our operations team, where you will play a crucial part in conducting thorough investigative activities while upholding our commitment to integrity and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and locate subjects associated with assigned investigations.
• Conduct covert surveillance, including both stationary and mobile observation of subjects.
• Capture and document subject activities using video recording equipment.
• Prepare detailed written logs summarizing observations (Surveillance Reports).
• Upload video evidence alongside surveillance reports to our system.
Required Skills
• Possession of a Private Investigator license for Illinois.
• Strong creative thinking abilities.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comply with state-mandated requirements for licensing.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive 10-panel drug screening.
• Maintain a good driving record.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
• Candidates must hold a valid Private Investigator license for the state of Illinois.
• Preferred qualifications include a background in Criminal Justice, military service (with honorable discharge), law enforcement, or loss prevention.
• Prior experience in surveillance and workers’ compensation investigations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with video surveillance techniques is advantageous.
