Job Summary
The Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities and optimizing inventory management processes. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong background in purchasing, supply chain management, and inventory control to ensure the efficient flow of goods and materials within the organization.
Job Responsibilities: Develop and execute effective procurement strategies in alignment with organizational objectives. Source, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability, ensuring optimal inventory levels. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements for both purchasing and inventory needs. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement and inventory requirements. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to inform procurement and inventory decisions. Oversee the end-to-end procurement process and inventory control, from requisition to delivery, to maintain cost efficiency and product availability. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and improve inventory management. Lead a team of procurement and inventory control professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Evaluate and optimize supplier performance through regular reviews and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies in both purchasing and inventory control without compromising quality and service. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement and inventory activities.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory management, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Familiarity with procurement and inventory management software and tools
