Join our team as an Inspection Technician II, where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic part assemblies and materials. You will work in a dynamic environment, utilizing your expertise to maintain high standards of compliance with customer-directed specifications and drawings. Your contribution will directly impact the success of our quality assurance processes and product integrity.
What You Will Do:
• Precision Inspection: Conduct meticulous inspections of electronic part assemblies and materials, ensuring full compliance with drawings and customer-directed specifications.
• Tool Mastery: Skillfully utilize mechanical inspection tools and gauges, including micrometers, gauges, and calipers, to perform precise measurements during specific inspection operations.
• Document Interpretation: Accurately read, interpret, and apply Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other essential documentation to ensure adherence to standards.
• MRP System Proficiency: Efficiently use and interpret the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system to track and manage inspection data and materials.
• Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify and report any non-conformances using the Non-Conforming Material Reporting system, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Support Quality Management: Collaborate with Quality Management as directed, providing valuable support to maintain and improve quality standards.
• Comprehensive Inspection: Inspect a variety of manufactured products, purchased samples, materials, parts, control samples, processes, or test data, ensuring they conform to blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
• Quality Assurance: Make critical decisions to accept or reject product items based on thorough inspection results, maintaining the highest levels of product quality.
• Accurate Reporting: Document inspection results and any substandard conditions on appropriate forms or within the ERP system, ensuring transparency and traceability.
• Communication: Promptly inform lead or supervision of any abnormal situations, facilitating quick resolution and continuous operational flow.
• Training Contribution: Assist in the cross-training of new hires and trainees, sharing your expertise to build a skilled and knowledgeable team.
• Quality Adherence: Ensure the production of quality products by strictly following Collins’ quality procedures and standards.
• Safety First: Actively seek out and implement ways to eliminate safety hazards, contributing to a safer and more secure workplace environment.
• Problem Solving: Apply your intermediate skills to solve basic problems efficiently, contributing to smooth and effective operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Provide innovative ideas to support lean and CORE initiatives, driving continuous improvement within the team.
• Dependable Attendance: Consistently meet attendance standards, working the designated shift hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with a willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• Flexibility: Perform additional job duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to meeting the needs of the business.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

The salary range for this role is 39,000 USD – 79,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
