LHH Recruitment Solutions is representing a manufacturing company in the Kansas City area seeking to directly hire a highly motivated and skilled Human Resources Generalist to join its team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department. This position reports to the Senior HR Manager and is responsible for handling a wide range of HR activities and being an advocate for a positive work culture. Responsibilities include:
• Provide support in all areas of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, onboarding, training, performance management, employee records, benefits, compensation, and HR policies/procedures.
• Lead the full-cycle talent recruitment and selection process including job posting, resume screening, and conducting interviews and onboarding new hires.
• Build strong relationship and become a trusted resource to the workforce; support employee development initiatives, training programs, performance appraisals, and career development plans
• Partnering with front line managers and providing coaching in areas including employee relations, training, HRIS/Timekeeping system, benefits, staffing and workers compensation.
• Monitor HR policy adherence and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including maintaining employee records and preparing HR reports.
• Assist with cultural improvement measures, wellness activities, employee engagement, and community involvement opportunities.
Qualifications needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; commensurate professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• HR certification is a plus.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in an HR Generalist position.
• Recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); reporting and data analysis abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
• Can thrive in a fast-paced environment and show flexibility regarding work hours.
