Position Title: HR/Payroll Specialist
Location: San Jose, CA
Responsibilities
• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and other documentation as required by law.
• Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
• Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and payroll systems.
• Support the HR Manager with various HR projects and initiatives.
• Manage and monitor the time and attendance system.
• Review and approve employee timecards.
• Address and resolve any timekeeping issues.
• Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and payroll-related questions.
• Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a professional and confidential manner.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing and HR support roles.
• Proficient in payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday).
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
