Overview and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing computer and help desk support to faculty, staff, and students by telephone, email, and in person on the Minneapolis Campus. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment and be self-motivated with strong customer service skills. This position will work Monday through Friday during the day with occasional weekend and evening support.
• Provide in-person, email, phone and hands-on support to end users
• Provide level 1 and 2 issue resolution for hardware and software
• Provide accurate and up-to-date asset tracking
• Create and update how to documentation for end users
• Assist with audio/visual support requests
• Provide basic printer support and maintenance
• Upgrade software as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Use/interpret job related terminology, effectively and efficiently
• Ability to stay calm and composed when under pressure
• Ability to communicate and interact successfully with a diverse community of faculty, students and staff
• Ability to use creative problem-solving skills, pay attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly and adopt new technologies
• Observes safety guidelines and follows safety procedures established by the university.
