Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I in the construction industry, based in Troy, Michigan. As a Help Desk Analyst I, you will be providing technical support and assistance, often as the first point of contact for customers experiencing issues with our services or equipment.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Provide accurate information on IT products or services
Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
Follow-up and update customer status and information
Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal teams
Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
Requirements
Minimum of one year of experience in a Help Desk Analyst role or similar IT support role within the construction/contractor industry.
Proficiency in MS Windows 7 is required.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred.
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) would be advantageous.
Strong customer service orientation.
